UACCB partners with John Baylor Prep to offer ACT® Prep Boot Camp
The University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville is partnering with John Baylor Prep to provide an ACT® preparation boot camp. The camp will be from 8:30 a.m. to noon each day May 30-June 1 and June 6-June 8 at UACCB. There is an optional 90-minute review day scheduled for 10 a.m. June 9.
This is the first time John Baylor Prep has partnered with a college to provide ACT® test preparation services. John Baylor Prep prepares thousands of students annually for the ACT® and SAT® and have been used by more than 390 high schools in 23 states. JBP's online classes routinely increase an entire high school's ACT® average score 1-3 points and SAT average score 50-200 points.
The camp will offer two courses. The ACT® Prep course will include three ACT® practice tests, quizzes after each session and additional preparation in all subject areas. This course is designed for students who have scored a 19 or above on the ACT®. The second course, ACT® Fundamentals, is a slower-paced course that teaches the most accessible content with the biggest test score impact. This course is designed for students who have scored a 14-18 on the ACT®.
The cost for the camp is $60. Need-based scholarships are available to reduce the cost of the camp to those who qualify. The deadline to register for the camp is May 19. Students planning to take the ACT® June 10 must register with ACT® by May 5 (or May 19 with added fees).
