Cosmetology Instructor

The University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville seeks a Cosmetology Instructor (twelve-month position). The Cosmetology Instructor will serve a key role in recruiting and admitting students; ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory and certifying agencies; developing daily lesson plans/activities; and delivering theoretical and practical instruction in the field of cosmetology services. The ideal applicant will be one who can demonstrate the ability to promote and maintain a positive learning environment; teach courses as assigned; assess student performance; track student attendance, performance, and grades; ensure safe and sanitary practices by students when practicing cosmetology; ensure client satisfaction by effectively managing clinic floor; counseling and guiding students; assisting in resolving student issues; order and track inventory; participate in various campus activities; and perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:  Licensed as a cosmetology instructor by the Arkansas Department of Health Cosmetology Section.

Salary:  $35,000 - $37,440 (based on experience and level of degree)
