The University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville is accepting applications for a full-time Biology Faculty to begin in fall 2017.
This is a 9-month teaching position that includes teaching microbiology, anatomy and physiology, and other life science courses. This position may also be required to teach concurrent classes at area high schools, night classes and/or online classes. A minimum of a master’s degree from an accredited institution in microbiology, virology, or related field; or, other master’s plus 18 graduate hours in microbiology, virology, or related field; or, medical doctorate or equivalent degree in medical specialties is required.

Director of Institutional Research
The University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville seeks a Director of Institutional Research. The Director of IR conducts statistical and analytical studies that support the administrative decision making of the College and explains data to stakeholders. The director compiles and interprets information for enrollment analysis, assessment, planning and budgeting; prepares internal and external reports; assists in providing campus users and the public with timely access to data and information; and serves as liaison to a variety of campus groups. The director reports to the Vice Chancellor of Research, Planning and Assessment.
Specific duties include writing queries; extracting data; submitting data to comply with ADHE/legislative requests; coordinating the collection and submission of IPEDS data; compiling data to support grant applications; providing data to support reports to accrediting agencies; assisting with collection and reporting of assessment data; responsible for compiling data for Factbook and Division data pages; completing on-going and ad hoc data requests; coordinating the administration of CCSSE and other similar surveys; presenting data to campus groups, including weekly Data Bits and Bytes; reviewing practices and measures of institutional effectiveness and goals.
- Bachelor's degree in math/statistics, education, business or social science; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience collecting, analyzing and interpreting statistical data in a professional setting. Knowledge of institutional research or higher education reporting requirements preferred.
- Strong analytical ability and experience with interpreting statistics
- Advanced computing skills, especially with databases, spreadsheets, queries, and statistical software; experience with relational database such as Colleague preferred.
- Strong problem solving skills, written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills, especially in regard to presenting data and statistical results to a variety of audiences.
- Ability to work independently, attend to multiple projects simultaneously, deliver accurate results and meet deadlines; ability to work in a collaborative environment and interact effectively with different college constituencies preferred.
Salary commensurate with education and experience, with range in mid to high 40s.

Completion Recovery Program Advisor and Program Tutors
The University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville is accepting applications for a Completion Recovery Program Advisor and Program Tutors.
The Completion Recovery Program Advisor will be responsible for maintaining communication between students, life coaches, tutors, industrial technology faculty director
, and the program grant director. The advisor will provide weekly guidance that combines the personal guidance provided by life coaches and academic guidance provided by tutors to help students stay on track in their degree programs and the Completion Recovery Program. The advisor, along with life coaches and tutors, will be responsible for presenting weekly student involvement and progress reports to the industrial technology faculty director. The Completion Recovery Program Advisor reports directly to the industrial technology faculty director and is expected to work 8-9 hours per week. One industrial technology advisor is needed and the position is to begin August 2017.
The Completion Recovery Program Tutors may be required to attend specified classes, hold tutoring sessions on an established schedule and integrate course content with learning strategies. Program tutors will also be responsible for maintaining communication between students, life coaches, advisors, industrial technology and nursing faculty directors and the program director.
Minimum Qualifications: bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in industrial technology, nursing or related field; excellent communication skills both written and verbal; and experience working with students. Professional experience can be substituted. Two positions are available: one to support the RN program and one for the industrial technology program. Each position is for 8-9 hours per week and will begin August 2017.
